1994 - 1995: Member of the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations during its Security Council membership

He is a holder of the status of a “War Veteran”.

Foreign Stays

1996: He served as a participant in an eight-member mission of the Western European Union to some of the East African countries in order to determine the capacities and needs of these countries in regard to their participation in UN missions.
1991 – 1992: He led a fifty-member group of Czechoslovak soldiers in the context of a United Nations humanitarian mission in Iraq (UNGCI).
1991: He was one of the leaders of the Czechoslovak chemical unit that served in Saudi Arabia within the framework of the anti-Iraq coalition.
1989 – 1990: He led a seven-member group of Czechoslovak army officers in the United Nations Angola Verification Mission (UNAVEM).
