Martin Páv graduated at Metropolitan University Prague in International Relations and Asian studies. Currently he studies his PhD at MUP and Institute of International Relations in Prague. In his dissertation he focuses on the postcolonial identity of slums in Nairobi and Mumbai.
His main interest is in postcolonial studies – he researches how is the identity of an individual shaped by colonial and neocolonial practices. He also graduated from the Directing Department of FAMU in Prague. His documentaries were screened and awarded in various film festivals: Vote For Kibera, 2018 (MFDF Jihlava: Audience Award, FIPADOC, Official Selection), Wolves at the Borders, 2020 (Vision du Reél, Official Selection).
