In 2019, the Czech Republic celebrates 20 years since its entry into NATO, which was itself established 70 years ago in 1949. An important part of a series of events celebrating these anniversaries here in the Czech Republic will be the conference “NATO@70: The Role of the Transatlantic Community in the Past, Present, and Future”. It will be held at the Czernin Palace of the MFA on 8 February. Speakers from across the Transatlantic area will discuss not only the history of NATO, but also current challenges and threats as well as possible future development of the Alliance.
