Debatovalo se zejména o hospodářském partnerství s Afrikou v rámci tzv. dohod EPA. Debata se dotkla také citlivé otázky migrace z afrického kontinentu nebo toho, jak by měly vypadat vztahy s Afrikou v budoucnu.
